British Exploring is committed to providing opportunities for young people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Our Programmes Team currently manage several partnership run programmes, open to uniquely targeted demographics.

Dangoor Next Generation Programme

In partnership with Catch-22

Dates: 01st August – 22nd August 2016
Location: North East Iceland
Induction weekend: 20th – 22nd May 2016
Training: 20th – 24th June 2016
Follow up Day: TBC
Age Range: 16 - 21
Eligibility: Open to young people engaged with a Catch-22 service with a referral from your Key Worker
Applications: Open late February online
Expedition Cost: Fully funded

Operation Aspire: Transylvania Challenge 2015

Dates: 22nd July – 11th August

Location: Transylvania, Romania
Induction Weekend: TBC
Training: TBC
Age Range: 16-21
Applications: Closed for 2015 
Eligibility: Young people from youth organisations in East London, with priority given to those from Tower Hamlets
Expedition Cost: Fully funded, however, Explorers must pay for their own flights (approx. £350)

Overseas Element: 15th - 29th July 2016 (Romania)

Eligibility: For university students graduating this summer.
Expedition Cost:Fully funded, however participants must pay for their own flights

Age Range: Students from Year 10 and 11
Applications: April 2015 Please talk to the representative at your participating school
Eligibility: Open to students from Frederick Gent School, Heritage High School, Bolsover School, Stubbin Wood School, Shirebrook Academy and Tibshelf Community School
Expedition Cost: Participants must fundraise towards their school fundraising target
