This expedition will wake you up to high-altitude trekking, as you explore the isolated peaks, wild-flower meadows and unique culture of the region.
By day, you’ll learn technical mountaineering skills, take part in important scientific fieldwork, such as collecting data from the third highest weather station in the world and document your experience through exciting creative media projects. If conditions allow, you’ll also have the chance cross glaciers and snow fields that few snow boots have ever crossed before.
By night, you’ll exchange campfire stories of spotting rare wildlife such as Tibetan antelope and yak - and maybe even the elusive snow leopard - before bedding down in our cosy-but-basic camp.
All of our expeditions are designed to take you out of your comfort zone (there will be tough climbs as well as unforgettable highs), but they are led by experts with an awe-inspiring level of knowledge - and a 100% commitment to keeping you safe.
The vast majority of young people return with a wealth of new-found practical skills, new friends-for-life and a real sense of personal development – all of which can have tangible benefits for the future.
