Lead on expedition

We have a wide range of volunteer Leader roles available to those with useful skills and experience to share.

While some roles (such as Medical Leader) require specific qualifications, we welcome people from all walks of life who can lead, inspire, teach and coach - and who recognise the role exploration and adventure can play in self-development. Naturally, you will also need to be comfortable spending extended periods in harsh and remote environments – and to genuinely like young people.

Each expedition is different, and some require certain skills or experience due to the terrain, the climate, the type of transport used and in some cases, the specific group of young people who are going on the expedition. In all roles, preference will be given to those with direct relevant experience although we will provide comprehensive training if you’re selected. Interested? Please take a look at the roles available and come along to an assessment day.
