Foyle Foundation is an independent grantmaking trust that distributes grants to educational charities in the UK. They have generously supported our Dangoor Next Generation expedition to Iceland.

Garfield Weston Foundation

- Supporter

The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded, grant-making trust which supports on average, approximately 1,500 charities across the UK each year from grants made by the Foundation ranging from the smallest community and volunteer projects through to large national organisations.

The Ogden Trust

The Ogden Trust aims to maximise the opportunities available to young people in all parts of the UK's educational system with a particular focus on science projects and physics. The Ogden Trust has been a long term supporter of British Exploring offering financial support to young people studying physics at A level to help them reach the full cost of their expedition.

Sir John Cass’s Foundation

Sir John Cass's Foundation is one of London’s oldest and largest education charities. Founded in 1748, it supports education for young people in London through its grant programmes for individuals, schools and organisations, and its support for a number of institutions bearing Sir John Cass’s name.

The Foundation is a firm supporter of our Dangoor Next Generation expedition to Iceland. Their sister foundation, the Aldgate and Allhallows Foundation, also supported our Operation Aspire expedition to Romania.

West Cornwall Youth Trust

West Cornwall Youth Trust was established in 2010 to provide support to deserving young people, with a view to enabling them to take part in worthwhile activities that they may otherwise not be able to afford. Since 2012, the Trust has generously supported young people from West Cornwall with their efforts to fundraise towards a British Exploring expedition.

The Dulverton Trust

The Dulverton Trust is an independent grant-making charity that was established by Deed in 1949 by the 1st Lord Dulverton to provide funds for charitable institutions. The Trust is a long term supporter of British Exploring and this year has generously donated towards the core costs of our Dangoor Next Generation expedition to Iceland.

Sir James Knott Trust

The Sir James Knott Trust is an independent, grant making charitable trust which aims to help improve the conditions of people living and working in the North East of England. The Trust helps us recruit young people from the North East of England and the Channel Islands as they offer financial support to British Exploring participants helping them reach their fundraising target for their expedition.

Andrew Croft Memorial Fund

The Andrew Croft Memorial Fund was established in 1998 with the aim of supporting the advancement and education of young people by the provision of grants in support of Arctic expeditions. The Fund is a long term supporter of our expeditions and offers bursaries to young people taking part in British Exploring Arctic expeditions.

ERSF Foundation

The ERSF Foundation provide financial assistance for education and welfare projects across the UK. The Foundation is a long term supporter of our Society, donating towards core funding to benefit the Dangoor Next Generation expedition to Iceland

The Lord Mayor
