Start your journey to the Saimaa Lakes

A rare chance to experience a true adventure in an amazing location.

UK Expedition to Wales (TBC) | Overseas Expedition to Saimaa Lakes, Finland

Landmark is a new expedition programme that takes British Exploring Society’s unique approach, based around Adventure, Knowledge and Personal Development, to the beautiful, vast landscape of Wales, with the expectation that 12 Young Explorers from the UK phase will have the opportunity to go on the overseas expedition in the Saimaa Lakes, Finland.

In Partnership with Power2, The Outcome Group and other organisations.

This is an exclusive opportunity for young people to experience the diversity of Wales and explore the large natural forests and the wide waters of the Saimaa Lakes in Finland.

You will also need to have a passport which is in date for the duration of the overseas expedition.

Whilst the UK Expedition will offer opportunities for personal development, it will also be used as an opportunity to prepare you for the overseas expedition. It is expected that the UK Expedition will start with approximately 24 Explorers, with 12 being invited to join the overseas expedition.
