Last weekend we held the first of our in-person events for Young Explorers participating in our 2024 programmes. The time was spent team building and getting to grips with some of the practicalities of expedition life – things like campcraft, navigation and cooking.
This group of Young Explorers will reconvene in just over a month’s time, when they’ll set off on their UK Training Expedition ahead of their full expeditions in the summer – either to Iceland or Georgia.
Between now and then though there’s lots for them to prepare – from fundraising, to sourcing kit, applying for passports and visas, vaccinations, wellbeing and fitness programmes and more.
